about

Dr. Palena R. Neale

A Lifelong Dedication to Development

I am passionate about development—not just of individuals, but of the organisations, communities, and societies they lead. My mission is to help leaders consolidate their leadership assets—their goals, strengths, passions, value and values—to harness the power of learning for personal and professional transformation.

I am a strong believer that the more we have, the more we can give. I am dedicated to helping leaders and organisations lead, grow, and flourish so that we can collaboratively create healthy, responsible societies. I believe that we can all lead with authenticity, humanity, and wisdom, while still achieving organisational excellence.

The Pillars of My Approach

Leadership Development

I partner with clients to design responsive, practical interventions that strengthen leadership capability and performance, while delivering impactful coaching, mentoring, and training to support sustained growth.

Education and Training

25+ years of designing and delivering high-impact training worldwide, complemented by 10+ years of designing and delivering master’s-level courses (MBA and Executive Education) in France and the UK.

Thought Leadership

Committed to evidence-based practice, I research and disseminate strategic leadership tools and insights. My work is featured in Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Psychology Today.

A Global Legacy of Impact

With over twenty-five years of professional experience—including two decades at the forefront of international development—I work at the intersection of leadership development, learning, and capacity strengthening. As a trusted advisor and ICF PCC-accredited coach, I support senior professionals and world-class organisations as they navigate evolving environments and complex transitions. My approach to leadership has driven impact across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America for partners working in organisations including:

  • The United Nations (WHO, UNSSC, WFP, ILO, UNESCO, IOM)
  • Foundations and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs): Save the Children, Pathfinder International, IPPF, Palladium Group, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Clinton Foundation, FP2030

  • Academic Institutions: Grenoble Ecole de Management, ESCP Business School, ABS, ICD, ISCOM, ISG, and the University of Hull

Academic & Professional Excellence

My approach is grounded in academic rigor and a deep understanding of human systems. I hold a PhD in Gender and International Relations from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, an analytical foundation further strengthened by a Post-Document Certificate in Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management. This academic foundation is paired with high-level professional credentials, including status as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), an Advanced Accreditation in Team Coaching (AATC), and a Certified DISC Practitioner designation.
